Schell’s is brewed in my mom’s home town of New Ulm, Minnesota, where Goosetown is a neighborhood that’s literally “the wrong side of the tracks.” Mom never went there in her life, until one day in her 40s she was driving around with us in the family van and we all took a thrilling 60-second joy ride to the “dangerous” neighborhood known as Goosetown. We all lived to tell the tale.

My uncle and aunt pose with the engraved-and-ready gravestone of my other uncle and aunt, who are retired in Florida. I think this is kind of tongue-in-cheek since John and Judy have been showing pics of the gravestone to everyone on their Androids, but it’s still deeply (so to speak) weird.
