“All the talk on Twitter yesterday was about how Minneapolis is the new Brooklyn, full of bikes, gays, and hipsters. So it seemed more apt than ever for me to set out on bike across the Mississippi to the Aster Cafe for some microbrews and a book discussion.
“I’ve long known about Books and Bars, but it’s never struck me as being something I’d be likely to enjoy. Don’t these people have enough friends to make their own book clubs? With 50 people, how can you have a real discussion? Isn’t this all just a nefarious plot by Magers and Quinn Booksellers to - wait for it - sell more books?”
My first experience with Books & Bars, as recounted in Vita.mn.
