My friends like to play a drinking game called Stacks, where players take turns choosing items from around the room and placing them in a stack until finally the stack topples; the failed stacker has to take a drink. (Everyone else then takes a drink willingly.) I rarely topple the stack—perhaps because, I just realized, I’ve been playing this game with my trash for years. As long as all the trash can be stacked on the can without toppling, you don’t have to take out the trash.
