My three-year-old niece made this today on my iPad. Watch for the point where she signs her name with an M.

Cantaloupe and Garlic Featured as Fruit and Vegetable of the Month for July
– It’s a good thing I’m not in marketing, because I could not make these press releases up. Previous odd couples spotlighted by the Produce for Better Health Foundation: cherries and leaf lettuce, grapes and acorn squash, apricot and artichoke, pineapple and fava beans, coconut and salads.

An encounter with Punk Poet Paul D at SuperAmerica
Me, perusing 2-for-$2 sandwich options: Life is full of tough choices.

@jasonzabel: does anyone know how to fix a twitching eye, aside from stabbing it with a pencil?
@stephanieohdee: In my experience: sleep more, drink less caffeine, eat a banana.
@jasonzabel: fuck that lol
@JayGabler: Come on, Jason, respect the banana. Eat it.
@stephanieohdee: you could always buy the dark chocolate covered frozen bananas...same benefits, way tastier.
@JayGabler: Gauntlet thrown! Jason, are you going to say "fuck it" to the chocolate banana too?
@jasonzabel: probably. has fruit in it.

It’s true, and awesome. I’m going to Pitchfork for the Daily Planet, and Becky’s going for The Tangential. I’ll take photos for both publications. It’s funny that I just wrote about how much traditional journalists hate bloggers, because this is such perfect evidence of how journalism is changing.

This strangely creepy photo just appeared in my inbox, as part of an appeal to raise awareness of the need for access to early childhood education in Minnesota. The idea is that you blindfold yourself and take a photo of yourself with a kid, “to show our lawmakers that without a quality rating system, they are leaving all Minnesota families in the dark when it comes to making a smart...

Arcade Fire
Beirut
Gillian Welch
Klee
Sambassadeur
